Decorative elements were created for the front corners of the card with one of the dies from the Sizzlits Architectural Accent set by Sizzix. Inside the card, a frame for the stamped message was created with one of the new Splellbinders Card Creator Fancy Weave dies.
A closer look at the card folds needed to create the easel for the card . . .
To create the easel, Side A is adhered to Side B:
To display the card, tuck the card front behind the raised design element on the bottom of the card. (In this case, I used foam dots to raise the piece with the three leaves, but you could also use other dimensional elements such as buttons or brads.)
The adventurous James the Bear Pirate (stamp) from Lili of the Valley really sets sail with Copic Markers on this birthday card! The stylish frame was created with one of the Fleur De Lis Square dies from Spellbinders; and Distress Inks by Ranger were used to finish the edges of both the computer-generated message and the focal image. The pirate theme is continued with the nautical images on the background paper.
Inside the card is more of the nautical-themed paper and another computer-generated message. The pirate map and treasure chest were created with digital stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms and colored with Copic Markers.
